A chance to see the site of most important
event in English history. The Battle of Hastings in 1066 marked the end
of the Saxon era and the beginning of Norman rule. Entry to Battle Abbey,
which occupies the area where the Battle was fought, is included in the
price. In the afternoon we go to the charming seaside town of Hastings.
On the Hastings & Rye trips, we visit Hastings in the morning and
end the day with a visit to the charming harbour town of Rye. After a
guided walk around, visit the old churches, the castle museum or have
a cream tea in one of the traditional rooms.
